Fender, Fender and MORE Fender!

Here's a nice selection of Custom Shop and higher-end Fender guitars, some vintage, and some Gretsch etc. Got a Gilmore Relic, a Clapton Antigua, some Relics and Heavy Relics, NOS, a Select Strat, and a nice collection of limited-run Telebration Telecasters along the bottom.

Couple of choice amps, 63 AC30, 66 Twin, 80s JCM800 combo and a nice Musicmaster Bass combo. That's a late 60s Fender Coronado bottom right on the wall and a new Gibson Jeff Tweedy SG far left.

Silvertone 1344 Amp

Amp or appliance? That's the first thing that comes to mind when you see this beauty from the early 50's. I've read this was Little Walters favorite amp. Anyway, it's a pretty funky little thing that sounds great!

Nice warm tone, not very loud, all controls work. All inputs work. Speaker sounds fine. Looks like an Alnico magnet on the speaker. Tremolo control is for intensity(one speed: medium, think Susie Q) I've seen pictures of this amp with both this weird cloth speaker grille and with a metal grille.

New Fender Deluxe Reverb, Red Witch and Pigtronix Pedals

Just arrived at Sam Ash Nashville, the new limited run Fender Deluxe Reverb in Wine Red with a cool straw weave grill cloth and a Jensen P12Q Alnico speaker. Very nice indeed.

Also: the newest awesome pedals by Red Witch and Pigtronix. By the by, these are the REAL Red Witch pedals, not the watered down el-cheapo boxes some other stores sell. Killer stuff!

Gibson Sonex 1982 Silverburst

Here's a great piece from the early 80s: Gibson Sonex 180 with the rare Silverburst finish. Featuring a Multi-Phonic body (wood core and outer layer of composite resin), Velvet Brick pickups and a funky cool headstock logo, this baby is perfect for all rock with some muscle in it.

Very Fine Les Paul Standard '80s

Just arrived: the most beautiful and vibey Les Paul Standard I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The serial number says it was made in 1984 which has me stopped dead in my tracks. The color, figure, feel, carve, neck, weight, tone etc etc makes me weak in the knees. Makes me want to hit myself in the head with a board and chant 'bring out your dead' or something

Blues, Rock and most definitely Southern Rock! I can see the big straw cowboy hat with the brim turned down in front, fancy Ostrich feather hatband, Raybans, beard, gold chain, flared jeans etc...wait a sec...that was me 35 years ago but without this killer guitar.

Gibson ES-Artist

From the island of wild and whacky ideas comes this 1980 Gibson ES-Artist. At the time it was certainly groundbreaking. This guitar has fully functioning electronics by Moog and features 3 toggle switches that control compression, brightness and expansion, all powered by a 9V battery. Also a master volume knob and active treble and bass knobs with boost-and-cut and a center-detent.

Gorgeous cherry sunburst (clownburst for the New Yorkers), stock TP6 tailpiece, ebony fretboard, side-mounted dot markers ala Chet, slim 3-piece maple neck and 'flying f-hole' headstock inlay round out this gem.

With the electronics turned off the guitar has a beautiful, rich and sparkling 335 tone. Without f-holes, there is no chance of unwanted feedback. The circuit board, courtesy of Bob Moog, has 3 trim pots for the various functions.

Sweet Gibson 12-String

Here's a very sweet little Gibson B-25-12 model 12-string guitar from 1969. Overall very good condition with fine finish checking throughout.

It has a wide neck and a 2" nut. Lots of space between strings. If you're into fingerpicks and Big Bill Broonzy then this is perfect.

Very nice dusky cherry sunburst finish that still has lots of energy after 40 something years.

Mahogany back and sides, comes with non-original (but period) case with groovy Alligator skin pattern. I've had a few like it over the years.

Truly A Rare Bird: Brand-New Rickenbacker 4003 Bass

No kidding- having a new Rickenbacker bass show up on your loading dock is about as rare as finding a lead singer willing to make an effort.
This is a beautiful 4003 model in JetGlo(um, black) with case included of course. It features the legendary two jack Rick-O-Sound output option, which means you can use one jack and get the standard both pickups on, or use both jacks and send each pickup to a separate amp for a faux stereo effect. The bass also has a push-pull tone knob which gives you either a standard tone or a more treble-y tone("vintage" setting).

I had the 4001 version of this for a while back in the 70's until some rat bastard broke into my place in Wiesbaden and stole it along with some other special items. May he rest in pieces. Anyway, we used to liken the Rick bass tone to a sledgehammer striking a church bell. While it certainly has that tone, in the years since I've seen these beasties put to good use in all kinds of music including funk with slap. This is one classy piece of work!
